As an avid traveler and lover of quiet getaways, my stay at Auld Skuil in Ashkirk was a truly delightful experience. From the warm welcome by the hosts to the impeccably clean and comfortable accommodation, every detail was just perfect. the room was tastefully decorated and well-equipped with a kitchenette, a flat-screen TV, and a luxurious private bathroom complete with a hairdryer and free toiletries. I especially enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and the opportunity to explore the nearby area on a bike, which was available for hire at the guest house. the garden and terrace were lovely spots to relax and take in the beautiful scenery. the location, just a short distance from Melrose and Edinburgh Airport, made it convenient for me to explore the surrounding areas. The hosts, John and Sandra, were incredibly friendly and helpful, providing me with local information and even some delicious breakfast treats. Their hospitality truly made me feel at home. I can't recommend Auld Skuil enough to anyone looking for a tranquil and cozy retreat in the Scottish countryside.
